Get within 60 m with GPS accuracy under 65 m, then tap catch. The radius follows your fix — 40 m plus half of whatever error your phone reports, up to 73 m — because a downtown fix is twenty to fifty metres out and being refused for your building's glass is not a rule, it's a bug. Keep the app open for 20 s first: the server reads the GPS log behind your fix, and a faked one does not wobble.
A drop goes quiet for 10 min once somebody takes it — the map says which are awake. And you can catch one every 2 h, up to 6 a day.
